Report: Adam Silver hopeful to make decision on NBA in 2-4 weeks

According to all accounts, whether it be the league’s owners, players, and star players themselves, it looks like key stakeholders are intent on the NBA returning. But the question everybody has been trying to answer for the past few months and will have to ponder for even longer is when? When will the league return? When will the following season begin?

The NBA is still trying to figure all of that out but NBA commissioner Adam Silver is reportedly putting himself and the league as a whole on the clock, as he told owners on a phone call that he hopes to make a decision on the league’s return within 2-4 weeks, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Obviously, a decision being made does not mean that a return to play will be imminent if that’s the league’s decision. Players whose teams have qualified for the playoffs will need at least a month, if not two, to get back into game shape for playoff-intensity basketball.
