Matteo Guendouzi is not starting for Arsenal agaisnt Vitoria but he may just have found the perfect replacement for former-club captain Granit Xhaka.
During the warm-up for the Gunners' Europa League clash, he was without a partner to intercept passes in the substitutes rondo drill but could not find one.
Up stepped a Vitoria ball boy who the Arsenal players welcomed openly into the rondo circle before trying to complete their set of 20 passes.
The young boy was eager to get involved, racing towards the ball with Guendouzi eventually getting a toe in.
With the issues surrounding Granit Xhaka's captaincy, how Unai Emery will solve his midfield problems is fast-becoming a key issue.
Against Vitoria, he is continuing to experiment with the shape of his team by going to a back three which sees Joe Willock and Dani Ceballos in the middle of the park.
Previously Emery has used Lucas Torreira next to the Frenchman as well as playing with a midfield diamond against Wolves.
But Arsenal fans believe the search for a new partner for Matteo Guendouzi is over as the Portuguese ball boy made such a strong impression.
As the drill went on, however, the Arsenal substitutes were able to get the best of the youngster.
