Repair works will see Monklands roads closed to motorists

Three Monklands roads are to close for repair works over the next few weeks.

Earlston Road in Coatbridge will be shut from 6am to 6pm on Monday, May 17, for ironwork repairs.

This will apply between property number two and Lauder Gardens, with no diversions available to motorists.

Carriageway resurfacing work on Shiel Place in Coatbridge will lead to the road shutting, from Sikeside Street to its termination point, for a five-day period from May 17.

There will be no diverted routes but access to the road will be "maintained where practical" during the period of closure.

The installation of new street lighting will result in the northbound carriageway of Chapelhall’s Lauchope Street closing for four days from May 28.

The closure is from George Street to the A73 Main Street and the latter road as well as Woodhall Street, Bo’ness Road, the B799 Lancaster Avenue and the A73 Bellside Road will be the alternatives routes on offer to drivers.
