Watch your mouth, #FloridaMan.
Rep. Ted Yoho, R-Fla., reportedly used a nasty misogynist epithet against Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., after the pair sparred in a heated conversation on the steps of the U.S. Capitol.
"F_-ing b_-ch," Yoho was overheard saying as he walked away from the spat, according to The Hill.
AOC didn't hear the offensive remarks but was still outraged by the inappropriately aggressive attitude Yoho took to her face.
"That kind of confrontation hasn't ever happened to me _ ever," she said. "I've never had that kind of abrupt, disgusting kind of disrespect levied at me."
The lawmaker-on-lawmaker spat unfolded Monday as Yoho was walking out of the Capitol _ and the progressive AOC was walking in.
The right-wing lawmaker accosted his colleague about her harsh criticism of police conduct during the nationwide racial justice movements.
He called her "disgusting" for claiming that a recent spike in New York City crime could be attributed to hungry parents shoplifting food for their families.
"You are out of your freaking mind," Yoho told AOC
AOC shot back, calling Yoho "rude."
The two quickly ended the argument and Yoho strode off with fellow conservative Roger Williams, R-Texas, who later claimed he didn't hear any of the back-and-forth. Yoho refused to comment.
"I was thinking about some issues I've got in my district that need to get done," Williams said.
The pairs' colleagues quickly lined up to blast Yoho for his unprofessional and sexist behavior.
Rep. Dean Phillips, D-Minn., said he agrees with Ocasio-Cortez's view that poverty leads to increased crime _ and called Yoho 'shameful.'
"Wonder why Rep. Yoho hasn't accosted me on the Capitol steps?" Phillips asked.
