URAYASU, Chiba -- Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, which had been closed for about four months due to the coronavirus, reopened Wednesday morning.
To prevent the spread of infections, visitors are required to wear masks and have their temperatures checked. For now, less than half the number of the usual visitors will be allowed into the park, and visitors must secure tickets in advance.
There was a long line in front of the entrance gates before the park, located in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, opened at 8 a.m on the day. Staff wearing face shields took the temperature of visitors, and those who were confirmed to be under 37.5 C rushed into the park.

At the moment, visitors have to stay away from characters such as Mickey Mouse and refrain from shouting while riding attractions.
"While I'm glad [the park] has reopened, I'm also worried about getting infected, so I would like to enjoy everything while frequently disinfecting [my hands]," said a 24-year-old woman from Saitama Prefecture.
