Celtic are reported to be closing in on a January move for Japanese star Reo Hatate.
It had been widely expected that Ange Postecoglou would raid the J-League to strengthen mid-season after the success of Kyogo Furuhashi at Parkhead,
Forward Kyogo has been a huge hit with fans since his summer arrival, with the 26-year-old bagging 10 goals since his move.
And now it appears his countryman Hatate is on the verge of joining him at Celtic Park.
The left-sided midfielder can also play left-back meaning he can cover two positions that have been a problem for Postecoglou so far.
It is being widely reported that negotiations have begun with Celtic seeing the 23-year-old as one of their main priorities.
His contract at Kawasake Frontale expires on January 31 so the Hoops could potentially sign him on a free.
Alternatively they could pay a fee in order to sign him a month earlier when the European transfer window opens on January 1.
