Reo Hatate breaks Celtic transfer silence as he delivers brutally honest 'culture shock' prediction

Candid Reo Hatate admits he faces a "hard time" adjusting to life at Celtic when he arrives from Japan.

The 24-year-old was announced alongside Daizen Maeda and Yosuke Ideguchi on a four-and-a-half year deal as he prepares to leave the J-League behind.

Versatile Hatate left Kawasaki Frontale after lifting back-to-back J-League trophies with the club.

After joining Ange Postecoglou 's Parkhead overhaul, he took to social media to thank the Todoroki Stadium support for their backing during his time at the club.

But he admitted he faces a culture shock when he takes to the pitch in the Premiership following the winter break.

He posted to Instagram: "I really enjoyed my days at Kawasaki Frontale.

"It was a short time of two years, but I had a lot of experience.

"I've come this far with the support of my family, staff, and teammates. Thank you very much.

"Playing abroad is one of my dreams. I think I will have a hard time with football, personal life, language, food and so on.

"I want to absorb a lot of things as a person and as a player and grow. I am really grateful to the club for respecting this decision. Thank you very much.

"And supporters, I will do my best to have my chant sung by Todoroki someday.

"Thank you to everyone involved in Kawasaki Frontale. I will continue to do my best in my own way."
