Dublin remains in the top five most expensive cities to rent in Europe with a staggering new rent average which is over €200 more than compared to last year.
A new Accommodation Ranking report by ECA International has found that rental costs are up €207 on average per month from 2019 with rent in the capital now at €3,613 per month.
The capital had one of the steepest rental rises at 6% making it more expensive than some of the biggest capital cities in the world.
Alec Smith, Accommodation Services Manager at ECA International, said: "Dublin has once again seen one of the steepest year-on-year increases of rents in Europe, at just over 6%.
"The increase is partly due to the continuing increase of international companies relocating staff to the city, elevating the demand for expatriate-standard housing."
London holds on to the top spot as the most expensive place to rent in Europe for expats.
The average cost of a three-bedroom, mid-range home for expatriates in the English capital is £5,308 per month (€5,963).
