The renovated Kairali theatre complex at Thampanoor, housing the Kairali, Sree and Nila theatres, will reopen for the public on Wednesday.
Although the complex, run by the Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC), was opened for screenings during the 26th International Film Festival of Kerala last month, it was closed again for some more maintenance work. The renovation work, at a cost of ₹12 crore, was done to equip the theatres with Dolby Atmos sound system, laser projectors, feeding room, better seating and other facilities.
