Rennes issue Eduardo Camavinga update following Manchester United links

Rennes have confirmed they intend to discuss Eduardo Camavinga's long-term future at the club at the end of the current season.

Camavinga has enjoyed a breakthrough season playing for Rennes in Ligue 1 and as such has been linked with a whole host of high-profile moves.

Manchester United are one side to have been heavily linked with a transfer, while reports in France suggest Tottenham and Arsenal have both already seen bids turned down for the 17-year-old.

The Angolan-born French youth international burst onto the scene with an impressive display against Paris Saint-Germain earlier in the season, and has formed an integral part of Rennes midfield ever since.

Amid the increased speculation regarding Camavinga's future at the club Rennes president Olivier Letang has reiterated his desire to keep the teenager, but admits doing so will be difficult.

“If it only depended on me, I would like to keep him for another 10 years," he is quoted by The Mirror.

"Aside from that, there are approaches, a market and the desires of the player.

"We will meet to discuss it a little later on. Probably at the end of the season."
