Rennes sporting director Florian Maurice has confirmed that Manchester United linked midfielder Eduardo Camavinga wants to leave the club this summer.
The highly-rated 18-year-old, who is considered as one of the brightest prospects in European football, has been heavily touted for a move away from the Ligue 1 club in recent months, with Old Trafford one of his possible destinations.
The youngster is out of contract at Rennes in less than a year's time and is not prepared to sign a new contract at the club — meaning Rennes will no doubt keen to move him on this summer to secure the highest price possible for his signature.
Frequently linked with a move to both United and Paris Saint-Germain, Camavinga's future has been a hot talking point throughout this summer's transfer window.
Now, Maurice has confirmed that the club is now looking to "find a solution" that suits everyone involved.
"I know what he wants," Maurice said on France Bleu Armorique, as quoted by Fussball Transfers. "We now have to find a solution that satisfies both parties.
"When a player's contract expires, we either renew it and find a solution, or we have to find a solution to an exit."
Although Camavinga is of interest to United, MEN Sport understands that the Frenchman's preference is to seal a move to La Liga and play in the Spanish top-flight.
United, who hope to wrap up the signing of Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane this week, have held talks with Camavinga's representatives in the past, but were described as not being 'encouraging'.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to add a defensive-minded player to his ranks, though it remains to be seen whether the Norwegian will land his man.
