Rennes boss gives Eduardo Camavinga update amid Manchester United transfer speculation

Rennes manager Bruno Génésio admits star midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has a 'very important decision' to make regarding his future amid links with a move to Manchester United.

Camavinga, 18, is regarded as one of the most promising young talents in world football having already established himself as a regular in Ligue 1, as well as having made his debut for the French national team.

The teenager is believed to be a top target for Paris Saint-Germain this summer while United are another of the sides linked with a potential move.

Camavinga is entering the final year of his current deal with Rennes and they acknowledge it might be wise to cash-in on their starlet this summer rather than risk losing him on a free in a year's time.

His club manager Génésio knows a solution has to be found in the current window and hinted at a possible exit by admitting Rennes have their own interests to defend.

“We have already stressed several times that we cannot afford to remain in this situation concerning an international player like him,” Génésio is quoted at a press conference by L’Equipe.

“It’s part of a career to have important decisions to make, he has a very important one [decision] to make for his future, and we at the club also have our interests to defend.

"I hope we find a solution that everyone is satisfied with.”
