Residents of a Johnstone street have slammed the local authority claiming their road is the "worst in Britain."
And with winter fast approaching, residents in Maple Drive fear the shoddy road will soon cause an accident.
One resident claims that they have raised the issue with the council on numerous occasions, yet the road fails to be given the "money and attention" it needs.
A disgruntled resident told Renfrewshire Live : "The road is an absolute disgrace.
"I've been on roads in France, Spain, roads all over Europe and there's no road as bad as Maple Drive.
"It's the worst road in Britain and the council have no intention or interest in repairing it properly.

"They just shoddily fill the potholes, they just do patch jobs on it, and when it rains, they crack and fall apart and become even larger. It really is a horrendous mess.
"A number of us have raised the issue with the council and they have no interest on spending the money to repair the road properly.
"What's worse is that roads in Bridge of Weir, Houston and other parts of Johnstone that were repaired last year and getting the full works done again.

"I know budgets are tight but doing roads that were done last year and not doing roads in desperate need of attention makes no sense.
"Maple Drive isn't even on the council's resurfacing programme for this year, it's an absolute joke!"
Residents state due to the potholes becoming larger and breaking up, the road breaks up in to large chunks and as a result has blocked multiple drains and when driven on top of, parts fly up in to the air.

The Maple Drive resident added: "The road is quickly becoming a danger.
"The other day I witnessed a car driving along the road and the tyres just spun because the hardcore surface was so badly damaged.
"There's chunks of the road missing, there's road debris everywhere and it's blocking drains and when driven on top of, chunks are flying in to the air hitting windscreens and even hitting people walking on the pavement.
"Winter is fast approaching and the road is only going to get worse. It's going to cause a serious accident if the council don't step up and repair it properly."
The local authority confirmed that repair work is planned for next month.
A spokesperson for Renfrewshire Council said: “We regularly review all roads in Renfrewshire to ensure our roads network is safe and have made a £47 million, six-year investment to improve the standard of roads throughout the area.
“Repairs on Maple Drive were due to be carried out as part of our Capital Patching Programme, however, after our team’s initial inspection, resurfacing works will now take place at the end of October.”
