Harmanpreet Kaur has continued her hot form to help lift the Melbourne Renegades to a 15-run victory over the Brisbane Heat in a game that set a new WBBL benchmark for runs scored.
Kaur (65 off 32 balls), Eve Jones (62 off 46), and Jemimah Rodrigues (52 off 31) all produced blistering knocks to lift the Renegades to 4-207 - the second highest total in WBBL history.
In reply, the Heat battled hard before being bowled out for 192 on the final ball of their allotted overs.
Laura Kimmince (42 off 21 balls) and Georgia Voll (40 off 28) produced solid knocks, but no other Heat batter was able to provide a score of substance in the top-of-the-table showdown in Adelaide.
Renegades seamer Ellie Falconer starred with the ball to finish with 4-29, while Rhiann Odonnell chipped in with 2-25.
The combined team totals of 399 was the highest in WBBL history, edging out the 398 runs shared between the Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Stars in a 2017 match.
The Sixers posted 4-242 in that match in what remains as the highest team total in WBBL history.
Kaur was in a particularly aggressive mood on Saturday, cracking six sixes and four fours in her blistering knock.
It followed on from her recent unbeaten 73 against the Strikers, and 43 against the Sixers.
Rodrigues and Jones set the foundations for the onslaught with a 101-run opening stand inside the first 10 overs.
