Renato Tapia 'wanted by Celtic and Rangers' as Feyenoord consider January sale

Feyenoord midfielder Renato Tapia is reportedly a target for Celtic and Rangers.

The 24-year-old is out of contract this summer and could be sold if a buyer can be found in January.

The Eredivisie side spent £2million on the Peru international in 2016 and are reluctant to let him depart for free at the end of the season, reports Voetball International .

And it's claimed the Glasgow rivals are among those interested in his signature.

Tapia started for Feyenoord in their Europa League defeat at Ibrox in September and was an unused sub for the return draw at De Kuip two months later.

He's featured 23 times in total for ex- Rangers boss Dick Advocaat's side this term, but spent the second half of last season on-loan at Willem II.

Tapia is also an experienced international having already earned 53 caps for his country, including appearances at the Copa America.

A defensive midfielder, he can also fill in at centre-back where required.
