Removal van at Frogmore Cottage as Princess Eugenie moves into Meghan and Harry's home

A removal van has been spotted at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's UK home, Frogmore Cottage, as Princess Eugenie moves in.

The pregnant royal and her husband Jack Brooksbank will be setting up home in her cousin's stunning Windsor house as the Sussexes are now living in California.

The two couples reportedly came up with the plan themselves, leaving senior members of the royal family "blindsided".

The stunning house, not far from Eugenie's parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, is already set up for family life after Meghan and Harry spent £2.4m of taxpayer money completely refurbishing the property last year, which they have since paid back.

It's believed to have a nursery, yoga studio and gorgeous living spaces.

However, the house has sat empty for almost a year since Harry and Meghan decided to quit the royal family and move to the US, where they have now bought a new house.

A source told the Sun that removal vans were sent to the property "in the dead of night" to clear out the Sussexes belongings.

And now, a blue van has been spotted driving through Windsor Castle and towards the cottage, suggesting the new tenants have arrived.

A source told the Sun on Sunday: "Senior royals were initially blindsided by the idea for Harry and Meg to let Eugenie and Jack move in.

"Obviously the Queen was told after the couples had spoken about the plan.

"But it is very much a deal done between Harry, Meghan, Eugenie and Jack. There is a close bond between them."

However a Sussex source has reportedly said that Frogmore cottage remains Harry and Meghan's UK base, but the couple were "delighted" to let Eugenie and Jack move in.

Harry and Eugenie have always been extremely close, and insiders have said they are the "closest of friends".

Before meeting their partners and settling down, the two royals went out partying together in some of London's top bars.

They were regulars at the bar Mahiki, where they would sneak in the back entrance before doing shots and drinking frozen margaritas.

In their book Finding Freedom, royal journalists Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand claim Harry and Eugenie's roles within the royal family was the base of their relationship.

They write: "Like Harry, Eugenie also struggled to carve out her own identity growing up.

"Not being in a senior role meant that she had to go out into the world and find her own path, which she has done, moving to New York in 2013 to work at Paddle8, the auction house run by Misha's husband and Harry's friend Alexander.

"Harry had always confided in his cousin when it came to the women in his life.

"Not only did he trust her implicitly, but friends say that she gives great advice and has always been "beyond wise" for her years."

Eugenie was one of the first people Harry told about Meghan, and he was keen to introduce them.

They hit it off straight away, and enjoyed double dates at some fancy locations.

Eugenie reportedly told a friend Meghan was "just the tonic" for her cousin.
