Aston Villa rolled out the welcome mat for their new manager on Monday … albeit by spelling his name incorrectly.
Confirming Rémi Garde as Tim Sherwood’s successor on a contract until the end of the 2018-19 season, the club attached a #WelcomeRemy hashtag to the front of their website and the accompanying article announcing the Frenchman’s arrival.
It wasn’t long before the mistake had been removed, but it had inevitably remained long enough for people to capture for posterity.
