As Armistice Day approaches, it is a time to reflect and remember those we have lost in service and show our support to serving and former members of the Armed Forces and their families.
November 11, which is also recognised at Remembrance Day, will see a two minutes silence held across the country at the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
And Remembrance Sunday falls on November 14.
During the pandemic last year, there was only one invitation-only service on Remembrance Sunday.

But as restrictions have eased, this year there will be eight services across the borough, all of which will be open to the public.
However, in line with current guidance, people are asked not to attend if they have symptoms of Covid-19. Residents are also being asked to take a lateral flow test beforehand and not to attend if the test is positive in order to minimise the risk of infection.

Altrincham
Garden of Remembrance on Dunham Road, opposite St Margaret's Church. Service starts at 10.50am.
Bowdon Parish Church (St Mary’s), Stamford Road. Service starts at 10am.
Hale
War Memorial, Broomfield Lane/ Ollerbarrow Road. Service starts at 3.15pm.
The parade starts at 2.55pm from Hale Library.
Hale Barns
All Saints Parish Church, Hale Road. Service starts at 10am.
Interfaith service begins 10.55am at the War Memorial.
The parade from All Saints church begins at 10.40am.
Partington
War Memorial, The Green, Lock Lane. Service starts 10.55am.
Sale
Sale Town Hall. School Road. Service starts 10.55am.
The parade starts at 10.40am from Sale Masonic Hall.
Stretford
The parade starts at 10.40am from Metro Club.
War Memorial, Chester Road. The service starts at 10.55am.
The Mayor of Trafford, Councillor Laurence Walsh, will lead civic dignitaries at the civic service.
Urmston
The Parade begins at 10.25am from Urmston Library.
The service will be held at the War Memorial, Davyhulme Circle at 10.50.
