Remember Godwin's law

Among other reasons for Ken Livingstone to back down over comparing a journalist to a concentration camp guard, I think it might be timely to recall Godwin's Law, which states that: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one." It's also sometimes quoted more generally as "the first person to mention the Nazis loses".
