Rematch has officially launched Season 2, as Sloclap leans into the winter vibe with new content, gameplay updates, new arenas and seasonal outfits. Season 2 reflects the ongoing focus on evolving Rematch through gameplay changes shaped by community feedback and continued tuning.
One of the headline additions is the new 1v1 mode, which lets players square off head to head in a more playful competitive setting. The mode is designed around tight duels and skill development, with a focus on dribbling and control. It launches in January and will later return as an option within Custom Games.
Beyond that, the update brings a few improvements aimed at making matches feel smoother and more responsive. New goalkeeper animations have been added, along with noticeable upgrades to locomotion and dribbling that allow movement on the pitch to feel more fluid. Players also get two new virtual arenas to mix things up. Clouds VR places matches high above the ground in a surreal sky setting, while Dragon Bay VR offers a tropical mountain backdrop wrapped in mist during twilight hours.
Season 2 also leans into the holidays with the Ugly Sweater bundle for a limited three week run. Later in the season, Fireball Mode returns, putting the emphasis on teamwork by rewarding squads that chain together passes before blasting the ball into the net for higher scores.
