After months of testing, Rematch is finally headed for full release. The latest title from Sloclap features a futuristic arena for a five-vs-five football match similar to Rocket League. But instead of controlling a car to nudge and shoot a ball around, you get a human character that you can control to either save or score goals.
Rematch features a five-vs-five setting, making you function as part of the team. While it’s essential to establish a good understanding with your teammates, ultimately, it comes down to your skill and performance. Featuring a pretty high skill ceiling, you will need to master the mechanics of the game to ensure your team comes out on top more often than not. Nevertheless, Rematch is still a few weeks away from release, and if you’re wondering about when the game comes out, we have you covered.
Here’s everything you need to know about the release of Rematch, as well as how to gain early access to the game before its release.
Rematch release date

Rematch is officially releasing on June 19, 2025, as confirmed by Sloclap. After several beta tests, the developers have finally announced that the game is ready for global release.
Although Rematch doesn’t support crossplay in the beta, the developers have confirmed that the game will feature crossplay in the future. While Sloclap has confirmed that it’s trying to include crossplay at launch, it also mentioned that a failure to do so will mean that the crossplay feature will be made available soon after the full release. Here’s the countdown for the full release of Rematch:
While the final beta of the game will run until May 31, the full version of the game will be available from June 19. However, there are a couple of versions of the game that offer you three days of early access to Rematch.
How to play Rematch early access
If you’re already in love with Rematch and can’t wait until the full release, the developers have a couple of options for you to join in early on the action. Apart from the standard version of the title, you have an option to purchase either the Pro Edition or the Elite Edition for more in-game perks and benefits, including cosmetics.
However, both of these versions are priced higher than the standard edition, but they offer a three-day early access to the game. If you purchase either of these editions, you will get to jump into the servers on June 16 instead of June 19 and get a taste of the game before everyone with the standard edition does.
Here’s a table featuring the price difference, as well as everything you can get for all three editions of Rematch:
Edition | Price | Benefits |
---|---|---|
Standard | $29.99 | Base game |
Pro | $39.99 | Base game + early access + Blazon Jewel Set + Blazon Buckler tank top and pattern + Blazon player background and title + Captain pass upgrade ticket |
Elite | $49.99 | Base game + early access + Blazon Jewel Set + Glitcher trainers + Blazon Jewel Set + Blazon Buckler tank top, pattern, and cap + Blazon player background and title + 2x Captain pass upgrade ticket |
Make sure to choose the edition that is best suited for you to make the most out of Rematch.
Is Rematch on Game Pass?

Yes, Rematch is available on the Xbox Game Pass from launch. However, you won’t get the early access to the game if you’re using the Game Pass. The only way to get early access is by purchasing either of the premium editions of the title.
