Relive Miami’s Week 17 win with Dolphins RB Patrick Laird’s “mic’d up”

The NFL playoffs are two weeks old in 2020 — and there really hasn’t been much to root for as a Miami Dolphins fan. The Dolphins, of course, have been enjoying the first two weeks of their offseason after finishing the season 5-11 with two consecutive wins against the Cincinnati Bengals and the New England Patriots.

And the Dolphins, perhaps sensing the void in football, had dropped a gift — the final edition of “Mic’d Up” for the 2019 season, featuring Patrick ‘The Intern’ Laird toting the microphone for Miami’s stunning Week 17 upset of the New England Patriots.

Getting a chance to relive the upset win should provide Dolphins fans a reminder of where this team is heading and the progress this team made from the start of the season through to the end. As Dolphins fans watch former Miami players continue to excel elsewhere, it would be easy to fret over missed opportunities in the past.

But the reminder that Miami really did knock off New England and yes, Ryan Fitzpatrick really did energize this Dolphins team should help bring excitement and anticipation to what comes next for the Miami Dolphins — starting first and foremost with free agency and the 2020 NFL Draft.

These are exciting times to be a Dolphins fan. If anyone loses sight of that, just go back and relive Week 1 of the 2019 season versus Baltimore and then relive Week 17 against New England. The difference is pretty clear.
