Football fans can relive one of England's most memorable tournaments this month as ITV airs every match from Euro 96.
Hosts England went into the tournament looking to bring football home, two years on from missing the 1994 World Cup. They were drawn into a group with arch rivals Scotland, along with Switzerland and the Netherlands.
With a squad featuring Geordie stars Paul Gascoigne and Alan Shearer, as well as the likes of Tony Adams, Gary Neville and Steve McManaman, the English public fell in love with their national team again as Gazza inspired England dispatched their historic rivals, toyed with one of the best sides in Europe and even won a penalty shoot out on their way to a nail-biting semi-final showdown at Wembley with Germany.
Newcastle United's St James Park hosted three matches, with Bulgaria, Romania and France all based in the North East during the group stages. The French team - who trained at Haydon Bridge High School - featured future World Cup winners, including Zinedine Zidane, Didier Deschamps and Marcel Desailly, while Hristo Stoichkov scored at St James' Park for Bulgaria and Gheorghe Hagi captained the Romanians.
England played all of their matches at Wembley.
ITV will air all 31 games between Monday May 11 and Friday May 29. All will be shown on ITV Hub, while England matches and the final will be screened on ITV 4 too.
