A youth has been banned from a town centre after causing a number of troublesome incidents.
South Wales Police Neath Port Talbot issued a community protection warning to the youth, who had been causing a number of anti-social issues within Neath town centre. "This will prevent the person from frequenting the town centre and will limit the number of people he will be able to associate with," police said in a statement on Twitter.
Replying to the tweet, local author Bernard Lewis, said: "Good." Neath town centre has been undergoing redevelopment as part of Coastal Housing’s plans to deliver low-cost homes and affordable commercial properties across Wales.
The £2.2m scheme has been part-financed by a £1m social housing grant from Welsh Government. Community protection notices are intended to deal with unreasonable, ongoing problems or nuisances which negatively affect a local community's quality of life by targeting the person responsible.
