Release of Britain's worst female paedophile Vanessa George delayed

Nursery paedophile Vanessa George is facing more time behind bars after a decision on her release was delayed.

The Parole Board was due to review her case last month.

But it was adjourned because they want more information before deciding whether to free after 10 years in jail the woman dubbed Britain’s worst female paedophile.

If they rule against her, the ex-nursery worker, 49, could face another two years inside.

George – who was part of a paedophile ring – took 64 pictures of herself abusing tots at the Little Ted’s nursery in Plymouth, Devon.

She is at HMP Send near Guildford, Surrey, and has been disowned by her two daughters.

George was ordered to serve seven years in jail in 2009 so has been eligible for release since 2016.

Ex-husband Andrew, 51, said: “I hate that woman. She has destroyed my life. If she’s returned to society, I know my nightmare won’t go away.”

The Parole Board said: “The decision will be made in due course.”
