Relay Peak Research LLC, doing business as Zen Principle Naturals of Incline Village, Nevada, is voluntarily recalling one lot of its Zen Principle® brand Moringa Leaf Powder Capsules due to possible Salmonella contamination, according to an official announcement published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on July 19, 2026.
The recalled product is the Zen Principle® Moringa Capsules, sold in an 180-capsule plastic bottle. Only products bearing lot number A6FF4 and a Best By date of 11/2028, printed on the bottom of the bottle, are affected. The recall covers both the 1-pack (180 capsules, Amazon FNSKU X000ZJJ4FT) and the 2-pack (360 capsules, Amazon FNSKU X00159YJXP). No other Zen Principle products are impacted.
According to the FDA announcement, the recalled capsules were distributed nationwide from December 2025 through July 2026, sold primarily online through Amazon.com and the company’s own website, zenprinciple.com. One unit was also sold on eBay and one on Etsy.
The company said it initiated the recall after being notified by its ingredient supplier that FDA testing of the moringa leaf powder used to make the product tested positive for Salmonella. That raw material was used to produce this single lot of finished product. The company has stopped all sales and distribution and says it is cooperating fully with the FDA.
Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, particularly in young children, elderly individuals, and people with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals infected with Salmonella may experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In rare cases, the infection can enter the bloodstream and lead to more severe conditions such as arterial infections, endocarditis, and arthritis. No illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall as of the announcement date.
Shoppers who purchased Zen Principle® Moringa Capsules with lot number A6FF4 are urged to stop using the product immediately and dispose of it. Consumers do not need to return the product to receive a full refund.
