She lost Indian Idol 19 years ago, but on that very stage she was told, “One day..the whole world will be humming your songs.” And today with this song from “Main Vaapas Aayunga” Deepali Sahay’s voice has reached million of hearts.
Growing up in Bihar, Deepali just sang her first song when she was just 3 years old. Her voice was so sweet, her mother thought a radio was playing, according to The Better India.

Years later, while preparing for her class 12th exams, Deepati auditioned for Indian Idol, Both the judges and audience loved her voice. But she didn’t win.

But she did not lose hope, she learned acting. She studied direction at FTII. And through ‘Badi Malkin’, she became a familiar face in homes across Bihar. But she never stopped singing.
