Reiss Nelson reveals the biggest change Mikel Arteta has made from Unai Emery's time at Arsenal

Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson has revealed Mikel Arteta has taught his squad to have more self-confidence since replacing Unai Emery.

The Gunners made the managerial change in November, with Arteta taking the reigns the following month.

Since then, Arsenal have promoted youth, with Bukayo Saka, Nelson, Joe Willock and Gabriel Martinelli all playing important roles in the squad.

With the Gunners likely to be hamstrung by financial restraints in the summer transfer market, the development of their talented young players is of significant importance.

Nelson scored his first Arsenal goal during their 2-1 win over Premier League champions in midweek.

Since Arteta's arrival, Nelson believes that a key change from the previous regime is the squad has more confidence in their ability.

"He's definitely made the dressing room come much closer," Nelson told BT Sport ahead of their FA Cup semi-final clash with Manchester City.

"We understand that we're all good footballers, we can all do it. He's made us believe in ourselves."
