'Regular visits to Glasgow' revealed by police in hunt for mother and daughter not seen for weeks

Police have appealed for help in finding a mum and her teenage daughter missing for almost a month.

Catherine Costello and Eve Pender are thought to visit Glasgow regularly and officers have anyone who may have spotted them to get in touch immediately.

They were only reported missing on Friday, although they haven't been seen since Wednesday, February 22 when they were spotted at Farraline Park bus station in Inverness after leaving home on the Isle of Lewis.

Catherine is 57 years old and Eve just 13, and officers are anxious to ensure they are safe.

In a statement published earlier today, police explained: "Enquiries are ongoing to trace them as soon as possible to ensure they are safe and well.

"They are known to travel throughout Scotland frequently and regularly visit Glasgow."

Anyone who has seen Catherine or Eve or who has information on their whereabouts should call police on 101 immediately.
