Reguilon starts, key man keeps place - The Tottenham team Conte should pick vs Man United

Tottenham Hotspur make their way to Manchester United looking to break their 2022 pattern and make a big step in the top four race.

Spurs will have to break their record this year of win-loss-win-loss and find some stability if they are to follow up Monday night's 5-0 win against Everton with a positive result at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.

Antonio Conte has a few injury absences going into the match but he will still have a strong side to choose from.

We got our three Tottenham reporters Alasdair Gold, Rob Guest and Emma de Duve to name the side they expect the Italian to choose.

Here are their choices:

Whenever Conte has chosen the same starting XI to play the following match in 2022, Spurs have lost the match.

He cannot do that this time as Ryan Sessegnon is expected to be out from between a month and six weeks following his left hamstring injury on Monday night.

That means Sergio Reguilon will come into the side and that could well be the only change to the line-up.

Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga remain out and Matt Doherty is likely to remain at right wing-back after his impressive recent displays.

Conte could be tempted to put in Lucas Moura for some pace and his ability to score in Manchester, but he would be loathed to drop Son Heung-min or the in-form Dejan Kulusevski.

Gold's team: Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Doherty, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Reguilon; Kulusevski, Kane, Son.

Rob Guest - Tottenham Hotspur reporter

It should be a straightforward decision for Antonio Conte on Saturday as the Tottenham team really picks itself at the minute.

There is no need to change things about after Monday's big win over Everton, with Ryan Sessegnon's absence through injury the only decision facing the head coach.

Sergio Reguilon will replace the England U21 international and the Spaniard will be intent on impressing as he looks to win back his place on a permanent basis.

Conte will have a couple of good options off the bench in Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn if he needs to switch things up at Old Trafford.

Guest's team: Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Doherty, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Reguilon; Kulusevski, Kane, Son.

Emma de Duve - Tottenham Hotspur reporter

With a good performance from Tottenham on Monday and Conte still having to deal with a number of injuries, the Spurs team that will face Man United on Saturday may not see much rotation.

The Italian's revelation of Sessegnon's injury adds yet more bad luck to the 21-year-old's spell at Tottenham so far. Due to Sessegnon's absence, Reguilon is likely to get his spot back as left wing-back.

With the two new arrivals already making a positive impact on the team, they aren't likely to be replaced on the trip to Old Trafford and there will be hope that Kulusevski can again provide more creativity in the final third.

The back three are continuing to perform well, as is Doherty on the right and so the only changes Conte makes could be the one he is forced to, in a game that both sides need to win for their ongoing battle for a top four spot.

de Duve's team: Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Doherty, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Reguilon; Kulusevski, Son; Kane.
