Reguilon, Lo Celso, Romero: Latest Tottenham team and injury news ahead of Leicester clash

Tottenham's preparations ahead of the Leicester trip have been greatly disrupted by Covid-19.

Indeed, beyond training limitations due to their current squad issues, the club has been unable to play their past two fixtures – cancelling matches against Stade Rennais and Brighton.

Having played as many as three fewer games than some of their rivals, such as Arsenal and West Ham, Spurs find themselves down in seventh place on the Premier League table.

The match against Leicester could see them get things back on track. If that is to happen, however, Antonio Conte will likely have to manage it without a number of key first-team players.

football.london brings you all the latest fitness news for Tottenham going into their league fixture against the Foxes.

Cristian Romero

The Argentine has a thigh injury and could be out for a while longer yet.

Romero suffered a serious hamstring injury while on international duty with Argentina and won't play until the new year.

What Conte has said: "We hope for Cristian to recover very soon. You know that injury is a serious injury and I understand also the frustration of the player, that he doesn’t have the opportunity to play but Cristian has to be calm and to recover in the right way because we need him."

Expected return date: January, February

Sergio Reguilon

Reguilon does have a chance of making this game, but he remains a doubt.

The good news is, having suffered a muscular problem in the club's last league game – a win over Norwich – it doesn't look to be serious.

What Conte has said: "We have a little problem with Sergio. He’s having training sessions but we don’t know if he’s 100% fit for tomorrow’s game.”

Expected return date: Liverpool (H) - December 19

Giovani Lo Celso

Lo Celso looks to have a good chance of playing against the Foxes as he is training once after picking up an injury during the last international break.

What Conte has said: "Good news is that Giovani Lo Celso is available and he started to train with us from Sunday.."

Expected return date: Leicester (A) - December 16
