Regrets? Too few to mention

Katie Couric made headlines and history when she left the US Today show on NBC to defect to rival CBS to anchor its main evening news. She brought record ratings of 14 million people to the night time broadcast in September 2006, but audiences melted away and now her bulletin is last among the big three. Couric was frank when Israeli newspaper Haaretz asked her if she had any regrets. "I have no doubt in my heart that I made the right move, accepting the CBS offer," she said. "I would have regretted it otherwise. It's true that the pressure was immense and the expectations almost impossible.
