Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin might be pondering retirement, but that won’t keep him off the field this summer. On June 23, he will be hosting his third-annual Doug Baldwin Family Combine.
The Combine, to be held at Renton’s Memorial Stadium, will consist of 10 drills and events and is suitable for fans of all ages. Registration is now open to participants and spectators at db89combine.com.
Proceeds will go towards the construction of the Family First Community Center in the Cascade/Benson neighborhood. The City of Renton, Renton School District, and HealthPoint have all partnered in the development to assist with design and funding options.
“The reason I picked a community center is because the community center in Florida, it allowed me to become the man that I am today in terms of holding me accountable in terms of academics, holding me accountable in terms of my work ethics,” Baldwin told Seahawks.com before last year’s Combine. “The life lessons that are taught through sports, I was taught at that community center, so I wanted to replicate that in some way.”
