To celebrate 75 years of NBA basketball, the league is putting together an all-time list of the 75 best NBA players. And as those names on the list started emerge on Tuesday, we saw some great reactions from the selected players.
James Harden, for example, seemed genuinely honored when he found out he made the all-time team during a Tuesday press conference. Even the obvious selections like Shaquille O’Neal took the humble approach to getting named to the list.
But for Reggie Miller, TNT’s Inside the NBA decided to totally catch him off guard with the honor. And you know what — it made for a spectacular reaction.

The pregame show had just aired a segment with Miller interviewing Steph Curry about the 3-point record. So when Ernie Johnson welcomed Miller to join the broadcast, Miller was expecting a discussion about Steph. It didn’t go that way. Johnson instead told Miller that he made the team too, and it took a few moments for that reality to set in.
Miller was confused at first, but once he realized what the TNT crew was saying, it was jubilation from the Hall of Famer.

It really was an amazing reaction all around. And honestly, it’s a well-deserved honor for Miller.
