Two young men have been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death near Regent's Park in central London.

Kamal Hussain, 21, and Yosif Ahmed, 18, both from Westminster, were charged on Thursday in connection with the death of Zahir Visiter, 25.

They are due to appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates' Court later.

Mr Visiter was fatally stabbed in Cunningham Place in St John's Wood at about 6.15pm last Thursday.

The knife attack prompted armed police to seal off the nearby London Central Mosque as they hunted for suspects.

The Met said an 18-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender had been released under investigation.

All three men were arrested at an address in Whitechapel on Wednesday.
