Three men have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting at a north Dublin hotel five years ago.
David Byrne was shot dead at the Regency Hotel during a boxing weigh in on February 5, 2016.
The two men who have been arrested are aged 50 and 60 and will appear before the Special Criminal Court at 7:30pm this evening.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí at Ballymun investigating the fatal shooting at the Regency Hotel on 5th February 2016 have today arrested two males (aged 50 and 60) on foot of a warrants issued by the Special Criminal Court pursuant to Section 47 of the Offence Against the State Act 1939/1998.
"Both males will appear before the Special Criminal Court, today Tuesday 20th April 2021 at 7.30pm."
Gardai later confirmed that a third man, aged in his 60s, has also been arrested and will also appear before the Special Criminal Court at 7:30pm this evening.
