Rutherglen's Aldi store reopened this morning, following a significant refurbishment and extension.
Shoppers can now benefit from a larger retail space of 1,280 sqm at the Aldi Harriet Street store, offering an enhanced shopping experience, with a large range of award-winning Scottish products to choose from.
The new format has been created to make shopping even easier for Rutherglen customers, with the store now having an additional aisle and clearer signs to make shopping effortless.
Fresh bread and cakes have been moved to the last aisle, preventing them from getting squashed under customers’ shopping, and the store will now offer new, easy to browse freezers.
Rutherglen customers can also take a walk down the ‘ Aisle of Aldi’, where they will find legendary Specialbuys which are available every Thursday and Sunday.
Whatsmore, during reopening week, the store will be offering a range of toys, including children’s cuddle cushions for £16.99, Paddington or Peter Rabbit soft toys for £14.99 and Hey Duggee cupcake kits for 99p.
Store manager Ross Sullivan told Lanarkshire Live : "The team and I are really looking forward to welcoming back some familiar faces as well as new customers and supplying our local community with the everyday amazing products we have available.
"Hopefully the new look store will make shopping at Aldi Rutherglen that bit easier and more comfortable."
Following its reopening, the store, located on Harriet Street, Rutherglen, is open: Monday to Saturday 8am to 10pm and Sunday 9am to 8pm.
