- Robert Kenyon, Reform UK’s Makerfield by-election candidate, may have voted Remain in the 2016 Brexit referendum, newly unearthed online posts suggest.
- The now-deleted 2019 posts, from an account linked to Mr Kenyon, appeared to deny that he voted Leave.
- However, the account said in a post that the EU’s subsequent treatment of the UK made him “glad we voted out”.
- The user also suggested he would join the EU “tomorrow” if it were “stripped right back to what it was set up for”.
- A Reform UK spokesperson said that Mr Kenyon “voted Leave in 2016 and is a proud Brexiteer.”
