REFORM UK have responded after more than a dozen people were arrested after violence erupted in Glasgow between far-right and anti-racism protesters.
The Unite the Clans rally at Glasgow Green on Saturday saw multiple violent incidents, often requiring police intervention – as well as videos circulating on social media showing people of colour being confronted on the street and a delivery driver being attacked with a traffic cone.
Some 15 arrests have been made, including for possession of an offensive weapon, assault, breach of the peace, obstruction and resisting arrest.
Punches and projectiles were thrown at the initial rally as the anti-immigration group approached anti-racism campaigners, while some performed Nazi salutes (below).

There were also big cheers during an anti-migrant speech in which a protester said “it’s wonderful being white” and “I love being white”.
One man was also heard saying: “I’m a Nazi and I love it.”
Reacting to the disorder, Scottish Greens co-leader Ross Greer said on Twitter/X: “For the second time in as many months Nazis have rioted in Glasgow. They targeted anyone who isn't white, as well as those daring to stand up to them.”
He then directed a question at Reform’s deputy leader in Scotland, Thomas Kerr.
“Thomas Kerr claims 'Scotland is lawless'. Will he condemn the Reform politician who spoke at this 'rally' with violent Nazis?”
Greer appeared to be referring to councillor Audrey Dempsey, who is reported to have spoken at the Unite the Clans rally.
In a Reform UK statement reacting to this, Kerr instead said that politicians who “casually label their opponents” as Nazis “cheapen the Holocaust” and "undermine the promise of never again".
He added: “Extremist Ross Greer and his fellow Green MSPs should be ashamed of using such disgraceful language.
“Yesterday’s scenes in Glasgow by a small minority on both sides were absolutely unacceptable. There is no excuse for violence, criminal damage or attacks on Police Scotland officers. They win when you act like that.”
The Glasgow MSP went on: “Those responsible should face the full force of the law.
“But let’s stop pretending peaceful protest is the problem. It isn’t. Peaceful protest is a fundamental democratic right, especially when governments repeatedly ignore legitimate public concerns and dismiss those raising them. People have every right to stand up, speak out and make their voices heard. Peacefully.
“Instead of smearing political opponents with lazy slurs, the political establishment should start listening to the people they were elected to serve.
“Work with us, not against us.”
