Referee for Hull City clash appointed - here's his past record with Leeds United

Leeds United will be going in search of a seventh successive Championship win when they welcome Yorkshire neighbours Hull City to Elland Road on Tuesday evening.

The Whites, who were defeated 2-0 by the Tigers at home last season, continued their recent hot streak of form on Saturday, beating Huddersfield Town 2-0 at the John Smith's Stadium courtesy of second half goals from Ezgjan Alioski and Pablo Hernandez.

But now Leeds have ticked another fixture off of their busy schedule, attention will swiftly turn to Tuesday night's meeting with Grant McCann's Tigers.

And as with any all-Yorkshire affair, one of the main focus' will be on who will be the man in the middle making all of the big decisions.

The man in question is David Webb, who has been handed the responsibility of keeping both Marcelo Bielsa and McCann's troops in line.

Webb, who started out as a referee back in 2007, has taken charge of 10 Championship games this season, one in League One, one in League Two and one in the Carabao Cup, in which time he has brandished 38 yellows but no reds.

Tuesday night's contest at Elland Road, however, will be the first time since February this year that Webb has officiated a Leeds game, that being a 2-1 victory over Swansea City at Elland Road. On that occasion, Webb dished out just one yellow card to a Leeds player, that being Jack Harrison.

Of the seven Leeds matches that he has officiated during his career, the Lancashire-based whistle-blower has never sent off a Whites player.

As a side note, Leeds have lost just once when Webb has been the man in the middle - that being a 2-1 reverse to Wolverhampton Wanderers in October 2014.

Webb has been in charge for ten Hull City games, with his only red card in those being to send Liam Rosenior off against Leicester way back in 2011.
