Referee confirmed for West Ham vs Manchester United fixture

Manchester United return to Premier League action this weekend.

After Thursday night's Europa League victory over Astana courtesy of Mason Greenwood's second half goal, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are now looking for back-to-back league wins for the first time this season.

Last Saturday's 1-0 win over Leicester City at Old Trafford was a much needed one for the Reds, after a slow an inconsistent start to the campaign.

But in West Ham, Solskjaer's side are coming up against a team fancied to gatecrash the top six.

Anthony Taylor will be the man in the middle at the London stadium, assisted by Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn, while Peter Bankes will be manning things from a VAR perspective.

Altrincham-born Taylor has been involved in five Premier League games this season, overseeing Watford's 2-2 draw with Arsenal at Vicarage Road in his last outing.

The 40-year-old has branded the most yellow cards in the division, showing a whopping 22 in the five league games he has overseen.

Taylor has shown just one red card this season, with Willy Boly given his marching orders for Wolves against Everton at Goodison Park before the international break, and he also averages 20.80 fouls per games as well as 0.60 penalties per game.
