Ref & VAR officials confirmed for Celtic vs Rangers Scottish Cup final

The referee and VAR officials for the Scottish Cup Final 2024 between Celtic and Rangers have been confirmed.

Nick Walsh will take charge of the showpiece final at Hampden on Saturday, May 25.

He will be assisted by linesmen Calum Spence and David Roome with Steven McLean tasked with managing Brendan Rodgers and Philippe Clement on the touchline as fourth official.

The all-important man at the monitor will be John Beaton who has been selected as the chief VAR official with David McGeachie assisting at Clydesdale House.

The Scottish FA confirmed the officials list for the final in a statement released last week.

Meanwhile, Calum Scott has been named as referee for the Women's Scottish Cup final which takes place the following day on Sunday, May 26.

He will be assisted by Vikki Robertson and Steven Wilson running the line at Hampden for the match between Rangers and Hearts.

Iain Sneddon is the fourth official with Euan Anderson on VAR and David Dunne the assistant VAR official.

The news release read: "Nick Walsh and Calum Scott will take charge of this year’s Men’s and Women’s Scottish Cup finals respectively.

"Both finals will take place across the same weekend with the Men’s showpiece taking place on Saturday, 25 May - this will be followed by the Women’s final which will take place on Sunday, 26 May.

"John Beaton, who took charge of last year’s Men’s Scottish Cup Final, will be on VAR duty this year with Euan Anderson in Clydesdale House for the Women’s finale."
