Reese’s peanut butter Easter egg is back at Iceland and is set to fly off shelves

It may only be January but that hasn't stopped high street chain Iceland from starting to stock Easter treats - and there is one in particular we predict will fly off the shelves.

The frozen food specialist is now stocking the bestselling Reese's peanut butter chocolate egg in stores and online at iceland.co.uk after it became an instant hit with chocolate fans last year.

The 170g milk chocolate egg comes filled with Reese's tasty and much-loved peanut butter filling and costs £4.

If you can't manage to track it down at your local Iceland branch, the peanut butter flavoured Easter egg is also sold on Amazon - however you'll be paying a lot more for it as it is on sale for a pricey £19.99.

Last year the seasonal chocolate treat was original sold at sold at online sweet specialists Americansweets.co.uk and Candyhero.com for £7.

But some savvy shoppers decided to capitalise on its popularity and sell it for double the price on eBay.

The bestselling Easter isn't the only early seasonal find to pop up at the budget chain. Last week Iceland started selling Cadbury's Creme Egg cakes in stores and online at iceland.co.uk .

The pack of six Creme Egg Choc Cakes (144g) feature a soft and moist cake base topped with the brand's famous Creme Egg flavour, all covered in milk chocolate, and cost £2 a pack.

They are also only 100 calories per cake, so even if you're trying to stay healthy you'll be able to indulge without the guilt.

But Iceland isn't the only chain selling very early Easter treats, shoppers spotted Easter eggs on sale in Co op before Christmas.

Visitors to the store in Cottingham, East Riding Yorkshire, snapped pictures of Easter eggs lining the store's shelves three days after Christmas Day.

Shoppers were so dismayed they took to social media to share their surprise and bewilderment at the items going on sale despite it still being four months until Easter which takes place on April 12 in 2020.
