There's no denying that if you've ever watched RTE the odds are you have come across the classic show Reeling in the Years.
The hit show has become a staple of Irish households for its informative nature and genuinely impressive collection of archive footage from throughout the last number of decades.
Adults and young viewers alike have taken to the show which takes a trip down memory lane to a different year of Irish history for each episode.
It was first made in 1999 and featured the events of the 1980s. It has since spawned a further four series, with episodes now covering each year from 1962 to 2009.
RTE previously confirmed that the show would return to look back on the 2010s but no airdate had been set.
Viewers were delighted when RTE began to air a slew of reruns throughout the first lockdown giving people a chance to brush up on their history knowledge.
