Reece James names the huge boost Chelsea will get for Leeds United clash

Reece James is expecting a huge boost on Saturday when Chelsea welcome supporters back to Stamford Bridge for their match against Leeds United.

With London being moved into Tier 2 by the government, the Blues will be allowed 2,000 fans back in the terraces for the first time since the coronavirus outbreak.

It's a big moment for Chelsea and the Premier League, but has come under some criticism as not every club in the country will be allowed supporters in the stands.

However, the Blues will have a small amount of fans back, and the James is excited to have the boost they need to get three points.

"When the fans return to Stamford Bridge they’ll bring a great atmosphere and boost the players as well and hopefully help us fight," James told the Chelsea website.

James has been a regular this season for the Blues at right-back, keeping club captain Cesar Azpilicueta out of the team.

James was at right-back for the 0-0 draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon, and he admitted they were frustrated not to get all three points.

"We created a few chances and it’s obviously disappointing to come away with a draw but they’re a very good side and now we move on to the next game," James added.

"We had a clean sheet so it’s still all around a positive performance for the team."
