Reece James, N'Golo Kante, Jorginho and Timo Werner: Chelsea injury news ahead of Watford

Chelsea could be without six key players for their short trip to Watford later this evening.

The Blues will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table tonight, but for that to happen, they would need both Liverpool and Manchester City to lose and of course pick up a positive result themselves.

Thomas Tuchel addressed the media on Tuesday afternoon ahead of this evening's match and updated supporters on some of the club's injured stars and also added some more concern.

You can read about that all below as football.london rounds up the very latest Chelsea-related injury news.

N'Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Ben Chilwell

N'Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Ben Chilwell are all definitely missing for the clash at Vicarage Road tonight.

Kante suffered a knee injury in last week's comfortable UEFA Champions League victory against Juventus and missed the weekend's draw with Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Kovacic was left out of last week's European game after picking up a hamstring problem, with Chilwell a long-term absentee after suffering a "partial injury" to his anterior cruciate ligament.

What Tuchel said: "For sure, out is Chilly, still Kova and N'Golo."

Timo Werner, Jorginho and Reece James

Tuchel confirmed on Tuesday that Timo Werner, Jorginho and Reece James are all due to be assessed before tonight's match.

Werner recently returned from a month-long injury, but it sounds like the Germany international has hurt himself yet again, while James and Jorginho are also carrying knocks.

What Tuchel said: "We have some players who are a doubt. Maybe a bit more time with more examinations to re-evaluate the status - it is Reece James, Jorgi and Timo Werner.

"They all trained today with us, but there will be some last minute decisions about the three."
