Reebok out, Venum in as UFC announces new outfitting partner from April 2021

The UFC has announced its fighters will be wearing new-look fight kits from April 2021 after confirming the arrival of Venum as the promotion’s new outfitting partner.

The announcement was made via press release and social media, with the UFC confirming that fighters will sport the new Venum-designed UFC fight kits from April 2021. The new-look apparel will also be available for fans to purchase via the UFC’s and Venum’s official online stores, as well as retail outlets globally.

The partner change looks set to be good news for fighters, with the UFC’s press release confirming that their new outfitting policy pay scale will be adjusted to result in “across the board increases for all athletes effective April 2021.”

“We’re pumped that Venum will be joining us as our new exclusive global outfitting and apparel partner,” said UFC president Dana White, via press release. “Venum is an iconic combat sports brand that understands the unique needs of MMA athletes. Franck Dupuis and his team at Venum have the technical knowledge and experience that will produce world-class UFC fight kits and apparel.  We’re looking forward to collaborating with them on this next evolution of UFC’s outfitting program.”

While Reebok’s outfitting deal with the UFC will come to an end in March 2021, it doesn’t mark the end of the brand’s relationship with the UFC. Reebok has a separate footwear deal with the UFC that runs through to the end of 2021.

“We appreciate the partnership with Reebok over the past six years,” White continued. “It was a groundbreaking deal that elevated both of our brands. We’re pleased that Reebok will continue with us as the official footwear provider of UFC through 2021.”
