Redskins would win big with a Josh Rosen trade

The Washington Redskins trading for Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen would be both silly and perfect for the team.

Meaning, it would be fitting for the NFL.

The Cardinals are linked to Kyler Murray in the draft, meaning a new coaching staff wouldn’t have much of a use for Rosen.

Naturally, this has led to speculation a quarterback-needy team would have an interest in trade talks:

And of course, the Redskins should be interested. Rosen was a top pick only one year ago and some might argue he’d be the best quarterback in this year’s class.

Rosen wasn’t perfect last year by any means, but a now-fired staff didn’t do him many favors and the roster around him was terrible.

The same can’t be said for Washington, where a strong offensive line, running game and defense await.

For the Redskins, Rosen would be a potential franchise passer on a cheap contract for four more years. Meaning, trading a first-round pick this year and other assets for him wouldn’t be a tough sell.

Just try to keep in mind the combine is the unofficial start to smokescreen season and the Cardinals benefit from pumping up this speculation.
