Redskins UDFA class ranks poorly

The Washington Redskins don’t look great coming out of undrafted free agency in the wake of the 2019 draft.

The Redskins announced their undrafted class while waiving a handful of players. Since, Rotoworld’s Thor Nystrom has compiled undrafted free-agent class rankings based on a formula from the pre-draft process. He charts the Redskins as 27th in the league and tallies the following players while doing so:

  • Chidi Okeke
  • Jojo McIntosh
  • Juwann Bushell-Beatty
  • Ryan Bee
  • Kano Dillon
  • BJ Blunt

Okeke was the highest-ranked player at No. 307 and Blunt came in at No. 457 in the ratings.

To be fair, the Redskins’ late-round picks and undrafted class simply doesn’t seem to have the pop of last year. It was clear Trey Quinn was going to make a difference after being Mr. Irrelevant. It was also clear someone like Cam Sims would be sticking in some fashion.

This year, not so much. The Redskins didn’t do poorly per se, but they didn’t make waves, either.
