Redskins training staff wins Ed Block training staff of the year

The Washington Redskins athletic training staff has pulled in an annual award for their work in the profession and community.

The team’s official website revealed the staff earned the Ed Block Training Staff Of The Year award:

The annual award, named after the head athletic trainer for the Baltimore Colts, who demonstrated tireless contributions towards the healthcare of his team, along with his efforts as a humanitarian, recognizes an NFL staff for its similar work.

The Redskins last won this award in 1995 and will officially receive it on March 23.

Head athletic trainer Larry Hess leads the charge for the Redskins in this area and just wrapped up his 17th season with the team, again serving as the go-between for the staff and team.
